New Toshiba Qosmio X305 Gaming Notebooks

Toshiba comes out with the new Qosmio X305 Gaming Notebooks – the first notebook computer to use three NVIDIA GPUs in a tri-SLI configuration. The Toshiba X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 utilize the ultra-modern NVIDIA 9400M integrated GPU and a pair of separate NVIDIA 9800M GTS cards in the SLI. The three GPU setup provides customers the performance needed to run the hottest video games on the market on the highest settings possible, rivaling even most desktop PCs.

Both the X305-Q706 and Q708 utilize a 17-inch WSXGA+ TruBright display to ensure the utmost clarity at an adjustable resolution of 1680×1050. The lower-end of the two models, the X305-Q706, retails for $1,999.

WORLD’S LARGEST 1.8″ HARD DRIVE-TOSHIBA

Toshiba unveiled the world’s largest hard drive in the 1.8″ formfactor segment.There are two new models-MK2431GAH and MKxx31GAL boast of a 15ms avg seek time, 8MB of cache and a PATA-100 i/f. The hard disk drives also encompass enhanced durability, and come in 120GB and 240GB capacities. Their areal capacity is 344GB/sqinch, the highest in the industry, using the Perpendicular Magnetic Recording Technology.

Toshiba Announces 1.8-inch, 240GB Hard Drive

Toshiba announced yesterday  a new series of 1.8-inch hard drives , a  single-platter model offering 120 GB of storage and a two-platter  model  offering 240 GB of storage capacity . This Toshiba new series hard drives are mainly for small electronic gadgets like  ipods , mobile gadgets , digital camcorder camcorder , digital media player etc..,

This Toshiba  new drives spin their platters at 4,200 RPM , transfer rates of 488Mb/sec and interface transfer rates of 100 MB/sec. The 240 GB drive weighs in at 59 grams while the 120 GB model at 48 grams.

Toshiba DV Series LCD TV Integrated DVD Player

Toshiba has released it’s first HD-Ready LCD TV with a DVD player. The TV displays on a HD 720p resolution with external connectivity coming from its HDMI cable – specs include 170 degree viewing angles with contrast ratios of up to 1000:1. The audio of the TV set is both Dolby Digital and DTS Digital sound while the DVD player gets support for CD, MP3, DivX and JPEG. The screen size is purposfullly small, at 19 and 22-inch. The intention is that its sleek finishes and small size will make it ideal for modern homes. The TV is fitted with a DVD player and all tuning of station’s is fully digital. It has four pre-set picture modes (Sport, Movie, Standard and Memory) with three colour presets.

The TV will be available in two colours, piano black and high gloss white, and is to go on sale from October 2008.

Toshiba Centrino 2-based laptops

The 15.4-inch Satellite A300 Black Label II is powered by a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor and features 2GB DDR2 800 SDRAM, ATI Radeon HD3650 graphic chipset, and 320GB of dual hard disk(160GB+160GB). Besides that it also supports Wireless LAN, DVD Super-Multi Drive and Bluetooth connectivity.The Satellite A300 Black Label II is priced at 1,790,000 KRW, Satellite A300 at 1,490,000 KRW and the Portege M800 at 1,590,000 KRW.
This one is equipped with 9-in-1 multi-card reader, DVD Super-Multi Drive and you also get the Bluetooth and Wireless LAN connectivity.While the white pearl 13.3-inch Portege M800 is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor and features 2GB DDR2 800 SDRAM, Intel X4500 HD graphic chipset, and 250GB hard disk.
