Samsung HMX-R10 HD camcorder

We will soon be able to actually get our hands on the Samsung HMX-R10 HD camcorder starting as soon as next month. The camcorder was released in Korea yesterday and measures in at just 4.9″ x 1.5″. Specs include a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution from a 1/2.33-inch CMOS sensor. It also has a 9-megapixel sensor for still photos.

Features:

• a 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD with the proprietary Magic Touch UI from Samsung
• a microSDHC memory slot with support for cards up to 32GB
• Slow-mode shooting is also possible at 60, 300 and 600 fps

You will be able to get the Samsung HMX-R10 HD camcorder in the U.S. starting on May 15th for about $499.99.

DXG-125V $100 Waterproof HD Camcorder

Starting July, the $100 DXG-125V HD waterproof camcorder shoots in 720p using h.264 compression and is available in red, olive green and camouflage.

Too manly for you? There’s a girly version too. With a built-in compass, lithium-ion rechargeable battery and waterproof body, the DXG-125V camcorder looks like it was built to stand a few bumps and bruises out in the nitty, gritty outdoors. But if you’re looking for something a little more feminine, in August, you’ll be able to get the $130 Luxe version that comes with a 3-inch LCD flip-out screen, designed to look like a plush clutch purse.

Sony HVR HD1000U HDV Camcorder

Sony has targeted this camcorder for freelancers and educational video creators, wedding videographers offering them this moderately priced camera or camcorder.The HVR-HD1000U model supports  HDV and the standard-definition DV formats. It will work as DV Camcorder when the camera is in DV mode. The camera can switched instantly to high definition video mode when necessary.

Users can shoot approximately 60 minutes of video on a 6mm cassette tape in HDV format. Sony recommended its high quality videotape, DigitalMaster for professional HDV applications. Camcorder adopts to wide range of shooting situations and it has 10x optical zoom lens. The Super Steady shot feature of the camcorder is an image stabilizer.

The camcorder’s photo creation functions  produce photos for  website content, DVD jacket designs, photo albums , news and other applications.

Users can capture image with a 6.1 mpx camera in photo mode and it can capture images with 4.6 mega px camera even when HD video is recording.This camera can capture still images any moment from HDV camera recording with a printer friendly of 2.1 mega pixel.

Sony is planning to release this camcoder in december this year with a  suggested price of $1900.
