Few years back only Vertus ,a division of Nokia produced the costliest phones in the market. But today,the monopoly of Vertus in the luxury phone market is coming to an end with the entrance of other mobile phone manufacturers like Gresso, Mobiado and GoldVish. It’s not only mobile manufacturers but luxury such as Prada, D&G and Motorola, and now Tag Heuer and Modelabs which are converging technology and style.

1.iPhone Supreme ($3.12Million):- World’s most expensive mobile is unveiled by a British company on November 2009. It is a gold iPhone which is encrusted with nearly 200 diamonds. The casing of the exclusive iPhone 3GS Supreme is created using 271 grams of 22 carat solid gold.

The front bezel houses 136 flawless diamonds totaling a massive 68 carats while the Apple logo on the back is made from a further 53 gems. The front navigation button is made from a single diamond of more than seven carats.
Designer Stuart Hughes, from Liverpool, Merseyside, took ten months to make the phone after it was commissioned by an anonymous Australian businessman. The phone comes in a special 7kg chest made from a single block of granite and Kashmir gold with a Nubuck leather lining.
2. GoldVish LeMillion($1.3Million):- This GoldVish phone is the second most expensive in the world with a price of $1.45 million. The odd-shaped device is made out of 18-carat white gold and features 1,800 diamonds totaling 120 carats.

This security feature is really essential since every thief will certainly wish to have a similar phone.

Bucheron for Vertu Cobra($310,000):- This is the fifth costliest mobile phone.Parisian jeweler House of Bucheron linked up with Nokia subsidiary Vertu on this limited-edition series of eight cobra phones, which include a two-carat pear-cut diamond, a one-carat round diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies totaling 21 carats.

It is a Quad-band phone with Wi-Fi,Bluetooth, an Intel 400Mhz processor running windows mobile 5, 4 Megapixel camera and a touch sensitive 2″ 256K TFT screen. This phone has an internal memory of 128MB and a 2GB SD card for external storage.

The designer Jaren Goh has used some pretty impressive materials for the build, featuring titane with polycarbonate, mirror-finish cladding and diamonds.
7.Vertu Diamond($88,000):- Another Vertu phone with tiny diamonds dotted all over holds the seventh place in the list. The phone’s body in constructed from the finest platinum, underpinned with ruby bearings and equipped with a similar ceramic composition originally intended for the space shuttle.

For that price, it doesn’t even come with a camera! Only 200 such phones will be sold in jewelry and department stores.
8.Motorola Special V220 edition($51,800):-Motorola has also shown its presence in this luxury phone market but it could get only the 8th position.

Austrian designer Peter Aloisson, has taken a standard Motorola, studded it with 1,200 diamonds and added a keyboard inlaid with 18 carat gold. This phone is looks feminine.
9.The Diamond iPhone($41,000):- The diamond iPhone which comes on 9th rank boasts an impressive 420 diamonds at a total weight of 5.65 carats set in 18K white or yellow gold.

It can also be ordered in white, black or pink sapphires. The phone, is manufactured by UK blingmeister general Amosu, at a blustering price of $41,000.
10. Gresso Black Aura Collection($13,000):- Gresso with 10th rank, boastfully claims that its Black Aura cellphones are 200 years old – due to the age of the African Blackwood on each phone’s case.

Black Aura series ranges from $6,500 to $13,000 with the most expensive featuring an 18-carat gold front panel.

Samsung Star S5230 keeps rolling in sales for Samsung

Six months ago, Samsung stormed the touch screen phone market with the launch of the Star S5230. Now sales are approaching the 10 million mark.

Being the cheapest among the touchwiz series of handsets to be released in India, the Star S5230 kept Samsung stores busy with customers. It comes with a 3 inch TFT resistive touch screen display and has an accelerometer for motion sensing. It has 50MB internal memory and also supports 8GB MicroSD card for more storage.
The Star S5230 boasts of a 3.15 MP camera with smile detectionandvideo recording capability, along with anMP3 music player, and Stereo FM radio with RDS. It also has a Full HTML browser, QWERTYonscreenkeyboard, “Gesture Lock” and handwriting recognition features.
There is also Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS/EDGE and USB 2.0 port for connectivity. Applications on the phone include a Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) and Shazam Find Music service. The 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery can power the phone for 6 hours under normal working conditions.

Mivvy’s New Dual SIM Phones

Dual SIM cell phones aren’t exactly the rage unless you’re an extremely busy person who prefers to tote two numbers on a single handset, but Czech-based Mivvy is up to the task with three new dual SIM handsets -the Dual TV touch, Dual Nio and Dual Slide. All of them will support tri-band GSM/GPRS connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz) while using a secondary SIM card on the 900/1800 MHz GSM frequencies. Features of individual handsets are available in the extended post. The Mivvy Dual TV Touch, Mivvy Dual Slide and Mivvy Dual Nio will retail for €160, €150 and €120, respectively.
