December 24, 2008

Web Site 1 Sale A Day has this refurbished Motorola Razr V3 Unlocked Quad Bank phone on sale for $49.99. While this isn’t the most current style, the Razr remains undeniably popular. It’s unlocked, that means you can pop your existing SIM card in and use it on the GSM carrier of your choice.

Muscle Phone

December 13, 2008

Here’s a phone that may just strong-arm its way into the hearts of business-minded folks who always need a charged phone and a firm handshake.

The idea behind the phone is that by squeezing the grips flanking the unit as tight as you can, you’d not only work on strengthening your fingers, but a forty second squeeze would charge the phone enough for use. (Twenty seconds for each hand is recommended.) Other than that gimmick, it looks like a pretty simple, no-frills, garish yellow phone.

No idea if this thing is real or not — Bookofjoe spotted it in the December 12, 2008 issue of Financial Times as part of James Ferguson’s “Pat Pending” feature.

The HTC Max 4G is not only pretty, light, and refreshingly sharp. It’s also the world’s first integrated GSM/WiMAX cellphone, which means this thing can zoom at an iPhone-obliterating speed of 70 Mb/sec symmetric. It also means that, if you want one, you will have to move to Russia to get it. For now, it will be only available there in the Yota WiMAX network.
